It has been an incredible year full of scandal, fantastic fashion and new born kings. Here at Lucile, we have collected some of our most loved items of 2013.
In early January 2013, at the world premiere of ‘The Gangsta Squad’ the fabulous Emma Stone made an incredible fashion statement with this stunning Lanvin 9 gown. The delicate lace detail and subtle embellishment kicked of the fashion year in style. Lucile’s latest collection ‘Maison De Grande Luxe’ mirrors to warm tone and feminine quality of Miss Stone’s style.
2013 has also been filled with immense love and joy over the birth of HRH Prince George. The nation’s ideal of romance and elegance is echoed in our ‘Shortness of Time’ collection. Adorned with beautiful lace and bow embellishments this Luxury Georgette Camisole is the image of love. The perfect piece of lingerie is always paired with a beautiful scent. In 2013, our much-loved scent has to be ‘Miss Dior’ by Dior, this fresh, sweet scent is a classic item of the year.
This year has been a marvellous year for accessories and cosmetics and we could write pages and pages on all our favourite beauties. By far Tom Ford’s Jasmine Rouge lipstick is an outstanding favourite in this year’s signature style, favoured by such celebrities as Kirsten Dunst and Megan Fox Plum, grape and many other shades of deep purple are hot lip colours for winter 2013. Diamonds, gems and silver tones have never been hotter than in 2013. Erickson Beamon’s White Wedding Necklace is a luxurious and exquisite piece of jewellery reflecting this year’s style.
We cannot end this review without mentioning one of 2013’s most iconic films, ‘The Great Gatsby’. The emphasis on 1920’s decadence and style is seen throughout, from fashion to lifestyle. The 1920’s era is also famed for creating wonderful cocktail creations and the ‘between the sheets’ cocktail has taken the nation by storm. This cheeky yet sophisticated drink is sure to kick this upcoming New Year off in style. It offers a combination of rum, cognac and triple sec, sharpened with a dash of lemon. You can picture Jay Gatsby himself drinking this and it will no doubted get you into the Roaring Twenties mood.
We hope you have a magical Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Love, the Lucile team xxx
